University of Wrocław cooperates with the GIPA in Tbilisi

The University of Wrocław signed a cooperation agreement with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) in Tbilisi. Through this partnership, second degree students of the the Institute of Political Science, University of Wrocław and the School of Law and Politics and the School of Government at GIPA will be able to obtain two degrees at the same time.

According to the terms of cooperation, each year a similar number of Polish and Georgian students will participate in the exchange. ECTS credits collected during the visits will be valid at home universities, and during the visit to the partner university, visiting students will be subject to the same rules and privileges, as other students.

Polish students of political science at University of Wrocław, who complete the course in Public Administration in Georgia will receive master\'s degree in public administration from GIPA, and students of Democracy and Development in Europe and Caucasus a master\'s degree in international relations, issued by the GIPA. Students from Georgia after meeting the requirements necessary for the completion of political science course, will receive a University of Wroclaw diploma.

During the two-year study program, each of the students will spend one semester at the partner university. The amount of tuition fees for students from the European Union is two thousand euro. Each candidate must speak English at least B1 level and have a 1st degree diploma.

The Georgian Institute of Public Affairs was established in 1994. There are three schools at GIPA: the School of Government, School of Journalism and Media Management and the School of Law and Politics. The Institute trains specialists in the field of public administration, law, political science and journalism. It is considered one of the most prestigious universities in Georgia.
