Kozminski University has the best Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Poland. Executive MBA program of the university were first in the Perspektywy MBA Ranking 2014, the results of which were announced in Warsaw.

Ranking of the best MBA programs offered by Polish universities is prepared annually by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy".

Executive MBA at Kozminski University retained the first place in the ranking. "When we received this award one and a half years ago, we said that the trick is not to be in the first place, the trick is to keep it" - Kozminski University educational programs and development director Dr. Sylwia Hałas-Dej emphasized during the ceremony.

She believes that the value of the winning MBA program lies in its students. "Very meticulous selection of candidates results in very good graduates" - Dr. Sylwia Hałas-Dej told PAP. In her opinion, it is also important to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the market. "The market changes very quickly, so in order to keep up with the expectations, MBA programs also need to change dynamically" - said Dr. Sylwia Hałas-Dej.

In second place was emba@uw program offered by the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, and in the third place - Canadian Executive MBA (CEMBA) at Warsaw School of Economics.

The top five MBA programs also included Executive MBA at the Warsaw University of Technology Business School and MBA Poznań-Atlanta at the University of Economics in Poznań.

They were followed by: MBA-SGH; Kozminski MBA with specialist semester at Kozminski University; International MBA at Cracow School of Business of Cracow University of Economics; MBA in Strategy, Programme and Project Management at Gdańsk University of Technology; Executive MBA Marketing and Management - Cracow School of Business of Cracow University of Economics.

"MBA makes a person more credible to employers. On the other hand, an MBA certainly does not guarantee the most important managerial skills: leadership and people skills. MBA is still the best way of recruiting middle management . However, when it comes to the highest levels, MBA is not enough" - said Prof. Andrzej Koźmiński, President of Kozminski University.

According to the President of the MBA Alumni Association of the University of Gdańsk, Tomasz Słodnik, MBA diploma is not a guarantee of success. "Everything depends on the person’s character. Good use of MBA time gives knowledge, but also the contacts you can make. It pays off in the future" - said Tomasz Słodnik.

Study of MBA programs was conducted by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" on a group of 778 MBA graduates from the years 2012 and 2013 (54.6 percent responses were received from respondents). Organizers of MBA programs included in the ranking filled out questionnaires containing dozens of detailed questions. The answers to these questions were used to determine who were the students of evaluated programs, who were the teachers, what was the structure and scope of the program, what the program offered its listeners, and the organizer’s prestige.

The ranking also took into account the preferences of employers indicated in a survey carried out for the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy" by the Marketing Research Centre INDICATOR on a representative sample of 450 companies with headquarters in Poland.
